Vanessa´s appearance:
This movie is great!!! With Soul Food her best movie, yet. Great acting in a simple love story movie that was done really well...I can´t think of anything that I have missed in this movie. For every fan THIS movie is also a MUST-SEE MOVIE.

What´s special about this one:
The first title for this movie was "Shut up and dance" it was changed to "Just Dance" until they reach the final title, same procedure as in Hoodlum. But not only the title search was simelar to Hoodlum, no for the search of the right release date they needed also extra time more than half a year.

All dance scenes with Vanessa and Chayanne are not fake or doubled, both had to learn several spanish and latin dances. And they are actually dancing and competing with real-life professional latin dancers.

Vanessa´s other dance partner in this movie, Rick Valenzuela (3 time US Latin Dance Champion and top world finalist), served as a dance partner in numerous Vanessa live performances all around the world.

This movie was maybe not a big hit and made about 25 million dollars in the US Box Office, what is compared to Hoodlum (earned about the same) actually VERY GOOD. Because Hoodlum had alot male starpower and action and Dance with me had Vanessa and a fresh unknown actor Chayanne (he´s in latin countries a successful singer). But as far as I can judge it deseved to be more successful.

Story:
When the charming Rafael (Chayanne) meets cool Ruby (Vanessa Williams), his honesty and sensuality awake in her new and, at first, frightening passions. Though Rafael follows Ruby to Las Vegas for the World Open Dance Championships, she is destined to dance with another - and win.
