Vanessa´s appearance:
Vanessa´s role as the Goddess "Calypso" isn´t a big one, she´s only about 15 minutes in this nearly 4 hour long epic. She appear for the first time after 103 minutes.

Special facts:

1. This is the most expensive TV production of all time, the costs were about 20 million dollars. I heard that the actesses made each 1 million. That is regarding the size of Vanessa´s role a very good paycheck.

2. Vanessa´s scenes were shot in Turkey at a very beautiful salt site that is a national park there.

3. She was romanticly involved with "The Odyssey´s" screenwriter, Christopher Solimine, but it has ended in 1998.

4. She was cast in the film by executive producer Robert Halmi Sr., who hired her for the 1995 ABC remake of Bye Bye Birdie

Story:
Odysseus, King of Ithaka, leaves his wife and his new-born son to fight against the Trojans. With luck and tricky style he ends the war. Blended from his victory he challenges the gods but this time he loses and from now on he struggles through a neverending adventure to get back home.
