hi everyone!

Well, i just got back from Atlantic City and i wanted to give a report about Vanessa's shows! first of all, she was AMAZING!!! it was one of the best experiences of my life!

my boyfriend and i arrived at caesars and were seated in the general admission seats. the venue was like a dinner theatre with only tables and booths. we asked if it was possible to be moved closer and the matre'd said she'd put us on the list if there were any cancellations. it was kinda sad b/c there were like no true vanessa fans there! just a bunch of really old people who got complentary tickets from the casino. as soon as the show started the matre'd asked if we wanted to move and of course i was like YES!!!! so she started walking us down near the front. as we were walking, i told he that we had travelled all the way from tampa, florida just to see Vanessa. she proceeded to take us down to the very front and sat us 1 table away from the stage!!! it was sooo amazing!!!! here is a list of the songs she performed. she did a little bit of everything!

THE COMFORT ZONE
the curtain raised and Vanessa was standing atop of a white staircase. the radio station noises from the begining of the song began to play and then as the song began Vanessa descended the staircase. she was wearing a pink dress with an orange lining underneath with 2 slits, one up each leg.... very sexy!! her hair was half up, half down. she looked FABULOUS!!!!

DREAMIN'

LOVE IS (w/ rob mathes)
her musical director rob mathes did brian's part. it was amazing and brought tears to my eyes. after the soing she talked abt how it was really the only hit off of the 90210 soundtrack LOL

COLORS OF THE WIND
she talked about how much her kids loved this song.

THE SWEETEST DAYS
she just talked about how the song was written about her 3 kids at the time.

THE WAY THAT YOU LOVE
she dedicated this song to Rick who she said was probably sitting on a bench somewhere in detroit and everyone laughed!

THE RIGHT STUFF/RUNNING BACK TO YOU medley
this part was amazing! i really didnt think she's do these songs!!!! she started off by saying she was gonna go waaaay back to the first album and asked if anyone remembered her first single. at this point i jumped up and started screaming! LOL she said "atleast someone remembers!!!!" and looked right at me!!!

during TRS she was joined onstage by a male dancer dressed in 70's attire. he did all these really funny 70's dances around her and she just made really funny faces at him. during an extended musical breakdown during RBTY she danced with him and it was sooo good!!!

WORK TO DO
this is my favorite song and i was so excited when i heard it start that i jumped to my feet!!!!!

CONSTANTLY
before she sang this song, she reminisced about being in the islands with the breeze running through her hair.

YOU CAN'T RUN
during this song she was joined onstage by a different male dancer and they did some latin dances. after the song she walked up the stairs and exited the stage.

THE EASIEST THING
rob mathes sang most of this song and she eventually joined him near the end wearing a beautiful yellow dress. she then talked about how he wrote this song for her "Next" album. she then said that she put on her jazz dress b/c this part of the show was her jazz set.

LOADS OF LOVE from "No Strings" originally sung by Dianne Carroll
very fun part of the show. she was joined by both male dancers and proceeded to put on their necktie, hat and coat while dancing.

ST. LOUIS WOMAN medley
she just sat on a stool and sang 2 songs from this off-broadway show she starred in.

PEEL ME A GRAPE
another one of my favorites!!! the first night she messed up alot of the words, but  sang it perfectly the second night! :) it's a hard song to remember all of those words! LOL

OH HOW THE YEARS GO BY
a very short version but very touching :)

SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST
she loves to say "this is the song i'm gonna be singing for the rest of my life" before she performs this one! it was really nice as well and very touching. she received a standing ovation and exited the stage.

the crowd was chanting her name for a few minutes and she returned onstage wearing a slinky, beautiful black dress.

BETCHA NEVER
she was joined onstage by the 2 male dancers and they did an amazing dance number a la dance with me!!!! it really blew the crowd away!!!!! she then came out for a 2nd bow and left.

she was a little more talkative during the 2nd show on saturday night and she changed the order of the jazz set. she also wore her hair down for the first half of the show.

after the 1st show on friday we asked if it was possible to meet her backstage and the entertainment director said that you had to be on the list. he then told us that she would be down in the toga bar after the backstage meet and great and that she would meet us there. so we went down to the bar and waited. Vanessa came walking downstairs and right past us!! she looked amazing in white pants and a sparkly blue top!!!!

she sat down with a few friends and had a cosmopolitan and chatted for about 45 minutes. after that she got up to leave and as she was leaving i got her attention and she stopped to sign some of my cd booklets. i told her that i had come from tampa to see her and that the show was amazing!!! she said that she remembered me from the show bc i was the only one screaming for her!! LOL and she knew i had a great time!  as she signed my star bright booklet she told me about her new xmas cd! i then asked her if she was gonna be making a pop record and she said that it would be out in feb 2005!!!!!!!!!!!!! can u believe it?? FINALLY A NEW ALBUM OF POP MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she then posed for a picture with me, shook my hand and left.

it was such an amazing experience!! and she looked sooo utterly beautiful in person and up close!!!!!

i was also able to pick up a free atlantic city newspaper that had an interview with her. it actually talked about the new pop record. she said that she will start recording it next month. it will be a throw back to 70's music b/c she loves it sooo much!!! she said she isn't concerned with making a radio hit or keeping up with today's music stars. she just wants to make a really fun record.

anyways, hope everyone enjoyed reading this review!! if anyone attended either or both shows feel free to email me :) i'd love to know if any other fans were there!! :) thanks!!
